Biography
Anabelle Lee Palza Cornieles was born and adopted In Santa Cruz, Bolivia 1996, and later raised in Utah. She graduated eighth grade from Our Lady of Lourdes 2011 and continued to Judge Memorial Catholic High School for ninth grade. During her first semester freshman year, her mother passed away soon after being diagnosed with cancer. She continued her high school education at the Academy for Math, Engineering & Science sophomore year. In 2015, she will graduate from AMES.
As a freshman in high school Anabelle had a rough start to her high school education. Her mother was diagnosed with cancer that year and passed away soon after. During this time Anabelle became emotionally preoccupied and was unable to focus on her education. After such an emotionally traumatizing experience she made the decision to go to the Academy for Math, Engineering & Science. This change gave the hope to start over, and the opportunity to let go of the past and focus on the present and her future.
As per Anabelle’s hobbies, she enjoys reading as well as listening to a variety of music. This seems to stimulate her thought processes and educational abilities. She also writes poetry, sings, and dances to express her emotions. During the summer she enjoys going to the movies, concerts and swimming with friends and family. While in the winter season, she takes some time to go skiing with her family and finds time to go to movies and concerts.
During Anabelle’s freshman year in high school she began a babysitting job. Prior to her babysitting, she had taken a “Babysitting Bootcamp” course with Red Cross. Later, during her junior year, she took an internship course. She then began interning at the Community Writing Center. She had proofread some articles and poetry as well as other genres of writing at the CWC.
